Château Gaudin

An exceptional location on gravelly ridges

Château Gaudin is located in the Médoc, more precisely in Pauillac in Gironde. This vineyard benefits from a very privileged location, it is located on the gravelly hilltops of the village of Saint-Lambert, which are shared with the prestigious, world-famous vineyards. These exceptional lands are classified as controlled designation of origin (AOC). The gravel which constitutes them provides good drainage of the soil and allows the accumulated heat to be released, thus filling the fruits with sunshine.

The grape varieties of Château Gaudin are made up of 85% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Carménère, Malbec and Petit Verdot; which are ancient grape varieties, this allows the château to bring its own taste signature. The harvest and sorting are done manually and the winemaking is traditional.

The average age of our vines is 45 years, and is renewed by systematic topping up. Knowledge of our vineyard allows us to preserve traditional know-how, but also to perfect it and innovate thanks to the new perspective brought by each new generation.
